Business Valuation Services

Valuation services are available for listing and selling your business, for partner buy outs, divorce, estate planning, and exit strategies.

The first step in the process of selling your business is for us to determine the fair market value by performing a business valuation. We will need the following documentation for the valuation process.

Please provide, 2004, 2005, and 2006 year end profit and loss and balance sheets plus your most current month end 2007 numbers.

Please provide, 2004, 2005, and 2006 tax returns for the entity that you operate under such as a LLC, S-Corp or Sole proprietor schedule C.

Please provide a list of your furniture fixtures and equipment including trucks and trailers.

Please provide a dollar amount of the inventory you keep on hand at any time, We do not need a list just a dollar amount at your cost, and inventory is defined as anything that is a consumable and get used in the business.

If you lease your space we will need a copy of your lease. If you own your property and want to lease or sell your property we will need a plot plan with property information ie. Square footage zoning ect

With the above information I will be able to give you the fair market value of your business giving you the highest possible price for your exit strategy.

The valuation will take into account many factors with the most important being the sellers discretionary cash flow. The sellers discretionary cash flow is defined as those monies available to the owner after the necessary expenses of the business have been paid. Once we have determined the sellers discretionary cash flow we will look at your Inventory, Furniture Fixtures and Equipment and then to regional comparables and then we will package your Business for sale. The sale process is always handled under the strictest of confidentiality.

When valuing a business for sale we look to the past performance of the business as will lenders and Buyers. We will take a three year average in the valuation process. We are not selling blood, sweet and tears, we have to sell from an objective business prospective.

The fair market value that we will give you is something that we will be comfortable using as a purchase price in the listing and eventual sale. Please remember we are not just a valuators we actually sell businesses so we are aware of the complexities in transferring a business to the Buyer, working with Lenders and the SBA, Landlords ect. We will represent you the seller but still spend time with the Buyer setting them up to purchase the business.
